TDS Pumps Successfully Off-loads ATHOS I
On Friday, November 26, 2004 the Cyprus registered single-hull tanker
T/S Athos I was reported to be leaking oil into the Delaware River
on its route to an asphalt refinery in New Jersey, USA.
The US Coast Guard estimate the spill at approximately 265,000 gallon of heavy Venezuelan crude oil, (see picture bellow)
Further, the well known clean-up company, SWS Environmental First Response, did successfully use a FOILEX TDS 150 Off-loading Pump and divers to recover identified submerge oil at the bottom of Delaware River.
