High Speed Circus tested at OHMSETT.

Capt. Blomberg´s cost efficient "High Speed Circus" for recovery oils in fast flow rivers has now successfully been tested.

The test was made last week for the US Coast Guard R&D Department by OHMSETT, "The National Oil spill Response Test facility", in New Jersey, USA.

The test was conducted in full scale, both in flat water and in waves at various speeds from 1,5 - 4.0 knots.
The "High Speed Circus" was equipped with a FOILEX Mini Well Skimmer, which fits into the vortex/separation area with a minimum of disturbance to the oil/water flow.
The Mini Well Skimmer was operated in combination with both a peristaltic vacuum pump and a archimedian screw pump for removal of collected spill oil.

The OHMSETT facility, located south of New York, is capable of conducting full-scale equipment testing, research and training with oil under controlled conditions. The test tank measures 203 x 20 meters with a water depth of 3.4 meter.

Foilex Engineering AB which has the exclusive Manufacturing and Sales License of the "High Speed Circus" covering the U.S. and Canada will now continue to develop the product in different sizes in combination with its TDS and Mini Skimmer program.
